Submission Guidelines

We want to hear from you! Here’s what you need to know to share your writing, art, idea, question, tip, or other submission.

Not sure where your submission fits? No worries! Just make sure you follow the guidelines below, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Know that submissions are carefully considered, but we are unable to give personal feedback due to a very small staff.

If we print your submission in the magazine, you will be notified and we will send you a complimentary copy of the issue in which it appears.

Contact: We may contact you via phone, email, or mail regarding your submission.

We are open to a variety of submission forms including, but not limited to:

  • Writing: Articles, stories (non-fictional and fiction), interviews, poetry, topic ideas, questions, letter to the editor, etc.
  • Art: 2-D, 3-D, realistic, abstract, photography, physical, digital, etc.
  • Music: You may submit recordings of your work for use in our playlist or pairing sections.

By submitting material to us, you represent and warrant that you have full authority to grant the rights set forth above and that your material will not, in whole or in part, infringe the intellectual property rights, rights of privacy or publicity, or any other rights of any third party. You further represent and warrant that you have attained the legal age of majority in your state/province (18 in most states/provinces). If you’re a minor under the law of your state/province, your parent or guardian must submit on your behalf.

By submitting material, you agree to allow GoodFolk Magazine the right to print and reproduce your content in printed magazine editions, digital e-magazines, GoodFolk Magazine social media pages, the goodfolkmag.com website, and promotional emails. You, the author or artist, will continue to hold the copyright to your original work.
